GENERAL SUMMARY:Under supervision of the Director or Supervisor of Oncology Services or Staff Nurse, the LPN assists in the management of patient care. The LPN also performs support functions for the department as assigned by the RN and/or manager.QUALIFICATIONS:1. Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.2. Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State.3. Previous oncology experience preferred.4. Previous experience in a physician office setting preferred.5. 1-2 years medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.6. Meets requirements of physical/pre-placement screening.As applicable, the individual has training/competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of the patients for which care is being provided.
